MULTISURE® HIV 1/2 Confirmatory Test is an indirect solid-phase immunochromatographic assay, based on MP Biomedicals’ proprietary Reverse Flow technology (US Patent No.: 6,316,205) for simultaneous and differential detection of antibodies to Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1 and 2 (HIV-1 and HIV-2).It is developed to detect and differentiate antibodies specific to HIV-1 gp120, HIV-1 gp41, HIV-1 p24 and HIV-2 gp36, HIV-2 gp105 antigens in human serum or plasma. It is intended for professional use as a Confirmatory / Supplemental test on human samples found to be repeatedly reactive by screening procedures. This test provides accurate results in less than 30minutes, results reading can be done manual or automatic using iPeak® 4.3” Lateral Flow Reader and the corresponding report generator sotware.
The iPeak® reader 4,3” Lateral Flow Reader provides qualitative in vitro measurement of immunochromatographic test. Both iPeak® 4.3” Lateral Flow Reader and MP Diagnostics Rapid Test Report Generator software have been validated on other test devices available in MP Biomedicals diagnostic products portfolio like rapid tests for hepatitis C and tuberculosis diseases in addition to test intended for Dengue and H.pylori detection.
