Researchers often rely on nucleic acid extraction for experiments ranging from basic research to more complex applications including biomarker discovery, cell-free diagnostics, epidemiology and microbiome studies. After isolation process, nucleic acids are often subjected to quantitative techniques, including next-generation sequencing (NGS) and real-time PCR. Given the sensitivity of these techniques, even small gaps in sample preparation and downstream analysis can greatly affect results, leading to unreliable data.

Manual sample handling is a significant source of error, as it often introduces bias in pipetting, as well as protocol deviations that can occur as a result of processing large number of samples. This situation is critical when dealing with fragile nucleic acids such as RNA. Fortunately, you can circumvent the risks of manual sample processing and ensure better overall data quality with automated nucleic acid purification a(NAP) systems.

WHAT is aNAP system

Robotic liquid handling technology in automated nucleic acid extraction and purification (aNAP) systems can simplify the tasks involved in extracting nucleic acid from samples, such as serial dilution and cherry picking. These automation system typically include features such as sample mixing, temperature control, and bead washing.

MPURE YOUR CHOICE

MP Biomedicals introduced automated nucleic acid extraction and purification instruments (aNAP) to laboratories and clinical researchers seeking automation solution. Our proven and flexible technology in the instruments enable both high performance and protocol customization by researcher for different downstream applications.

Convenience with Open System

There are two types of automated extraction instruments: open system and closed system.

Closed system is generally pre-programmed for specific protocol which are compatible only with specific reagents to perform the applications. Hence, this mechanism is usually designed and optimized to perform only specific task using designated reagents.

In contrast, an open system is flexible and convenient, as it can be customised to adapt to variety of lab configurations. Furthermore, the open system can work with diverse range of reagents and labware.

MPure aNAP is an open system pre-loaded with more than 20 MagBead pre-programmed protocol, that have been validated for extraction and purification for various sample types and conditions. The researchers can also perform their extraction on the samples by customizing their own extraction protocol.

Mass Processing System

MPure-96 aNAP

High-Throughput for Mass Processing

Feeling overwhelmed with manual processing of high volumes of routine samples? MPure-96 offers the automation solution to improve laboratory workflow scalability and efficiency. It can batch process and purify up to 96 samples in about 25 minutes.*

Whirl-stirring technology

Apart from featuring HEPA filtration system and UV lamp in the system, MPure-96 also uses rod stir-mixing technology to stir the magnetic beads during purification process. Unlike conventional magnetic rod plunger system, the stir-mixing approach ensure that the magnetic beads are constantly mixed in the mixture to optimize nucleic acid extraction while avoiding sedimentation or drop out issue. This ensures efficiency and consistency in the extraction and purification process, regardless of the volume of samples. This could also minimize the risk of aerosol cross-contamination, and ensure safe working environment for lab personnel.
